When you drive by a car like the Continental GT W12, its sculptural beauty is displayed through carefully curated lighting.
The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top car. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for instance, featured the largest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
Bentley is the most sought-after automobile brand in the world because of its bespoke design and craftsmanship. The company continues to push the boundaries with the latest technology and workmanship, such as the introduction of the digital instrument cluster with an electric tilt-opening back glass sunroof, an artisan-made docking station for Apple iPads, and electrochromic smart glass that can be changed between opaque and transparent with the push of one button.
Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in the year 2019 100 years after the marque was established. The marque, which is owned by Volkswagen independently following years of dispute with BMW, had planned a number of special events and launches to commemorate this milestone. Prior to the pandemic plan taking the center stage, the company had a number of special events and launches planned to commemorate the occasion.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects company's values of excellence in craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and modern technology. Over 4,000 employees are employed at its Crewe headquarters, responsible for the design, development and production of Bentley cars. Personalisation
Bentley's Mulliner division allows customers to design their own car. Customers sit at a set of images, referred to "mood stations" and pick a set of images ranging from scenic landscapes to sporting events that will inspire them. After each selection is made, a pattern will emerge and reveals the models and colors of the custom Bentley.
The configuration that is created is saved to individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys that are then presented to guests in a custom key case. The keys can be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the pathway of the opening door with the owner's name or logo as they approach the car.
Bentley estimates that it requires 500 man-hours to build and put together the Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace modern technology is the primary factor to this time-consuming task. The Crewe factory workers don't employ a machine to place perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers are required to park their vehicles manually, not using the built-in sensors to guide them into perpendicular and parallel spots.
